After my son Cameron died, I created something I wish someone had handed me.
DearGrief is a monthly physical care envelope delivered straight to your door. It's designed to help you practice making room for grief in your life, without it feeling like an overwhelming chore.
The goal is to give grief a safe place to breathe so when you go out into the world, YOU can be the one running the show.
Every month, I personally curate a physical envelope filled with zero noise, zero pressure, and total support.

Words from Grieving Parents
"I will admit that I initially didn’t want to open it because I've been carefully trying to control my grief, and I was nervous about what it would bring up. But when I did, I was genuinely touched by the gesture and authenticity. Knowing it came from Emily made it very special. Everything inside was intentional and well thought out. If you are nervous, you don't need to be."
"DearGrief is one of the few things I've received that truly made me feel seen as a grieving parent. From the moment I saw the envelope, I knew it was different. [...] I’m a hands-on, visual person, and having something in my hand to read, do, or look at is so much more meaningful than a post on Facebook. Every detail feels intentional because Emily pours her heart into it. It gave me something to anticipate, and in grief, having something that brings comfort, connection, and even a little bit of hope is incredibly valuable. I can't wait to see what arrives next!"

"I knew who the envelope was from, so I knew it would be filled with love, helpful advice, and someone who shares my experience. Emily gets me. I felt embraced by her. She’s honest and shares her experiences and tools to guide us. I have already reread the DearGrief letter twice… the last three sentences are what I need to read every day. Join it’s amazing."
"I think it's amazing. In early grief specifically, when you're just searching for something to help you, it's like, I wanted things to do. There’s a lot of really good stuff in there to help people connect, and I love it. [...] a lot of thought (went) into it. I love how it’s presented and my little craft... all of it. How'd you get all these ideas?"
"I built what I wish I'd had when my world split in two."
On Christmas Day in 2015, my world changed forever when my son, Cameron, died. In the years that followed, I learned that child loss isn't just a heavy sadness, it's a deeply physical, overwhelming experience that disrupts your entire world. Nothing about it was what I expected, and society’s pressure to quickly "heal" or find "closure" only made the isolation heavier.
It took me years of trial-and-error to discover the things that actually helped.
I created DearGrief because digital connection is only one piece of the puzzle. Scrolling through everyone else's seemingly intact lives can be exhausting when you're carrying deep loss. Grief lives in our physical bodies, inside our homes, and sometimes the digital world just adds to the noise.
We need something we can actually hold in our hands.
Every box, ritual, and radically honest word inside DearGrief is curated by me, straight from my heart to your mailbox. My mission is to give you a quiet, screen-free space to unplug, tend to yourself, and practice the act of grieving so it becomes easier to carry it with you as you go back into life.
